Die Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2020 wird nicht wie geplant fortgesetzt. In Anbetracht der weltweiten Verbreitung des Coronavirus und umfassender Reisebeschränkungen wird das ursprünglich für die Woche vom 1. bis 7. Mai in Miami in den USA angesetzte Global Final auf einen noch nicht genannten Zeitraum verschoben. Neue Details zum weiteren Vorgehen sollen zeitnah veröffentlicht werden. Während des mehrtägigen Weltfinales werden sich die auserwählten Barprofis aus den 39 Teilnehmerländern zuzüglich erstmalig eines Wildcard-Bartenders messen. Eine internationale Experten-Jury rund um den Vorjahressieger Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn wird den Bartender zum Sieger küren, der einen für die Bacardi Legacy würdigen Cocktail erschaffen hat. Für Deutschland geht Lukas Motejzik aus dem „Zephyr“ in München mit seiner Kreation „El Rey“ an den Start.
